Faith, Family & Farming Leaders

I started my leadership journey as a chicken farmer when I was 7 years old and my parents built our home place on the family farm that my Grandfather established in 1957.  It was on this farm that my faith and my family became the most important aspects of my life.  Over the years, I’ve realized how the work ethic and life lessons that I learned while farming  were the foundation of my success as a military officer and entrepreneur.  I now have the honor and privilege of being the Owner/Operator of a Chick-fil-A franchise.  In 2012 we built our home for our family of seven on the farm and since then, God has shown me how many of the principles of farming apply to growing leaders in my business, and that is where I came up with “Leader Farming.”  In this blog, I will share the lessons and principles I have learned on my journey from chicken farming to farming leaders at Chick-fil-A.
